Join us for the 11th Annual Running of the Bulls benefitting West Florida Roller Derby during Gallery Night on July 21st, 2023. This fun, family-friendly event is Pensacola’s version of the Festival de San Fermin in Pamplona, Spain that was made famous by Ernest Hemingway. Participants will be chased by spirited “Bulls,” the roller derby skaters.

At the first cannon blast, set to go off at 6:30 pm, runners will take to the roughly one-mile course. The “Bulls” will be released at the second cannon blast, wielding whiffle bats to chase down the participants. As is customary in Pamplona, runners are requested to wear all white with red kerchiefs or sashes.

Following the Running of the Bulls, the festival will continue in Phineas Phogg’s in Seville Quarter with Latin entertainment, cash bar, and Awards for the Bulls. Their prize categories include Most Creative Horns, Most Beautiful Horns, Best Costume and Horns and a special Recognition Award presented by the Krewe de Andres de Pez. Registered participants (with wristbands) will get complimentary Miller Lite, Pamplona Punch and Coca Cola products. Early registration is $25/runner, pre-registration is $30/runner, day of registration is $35/runner.
